why did I lose the steam execution file??

Last night i went to bed after making steam work perfectly in hl and cs. but this morning when i start my computer, the steam can't launch itself, and i click on the steam.exe shortcut, it tries to browse the execution file, i can't find the execution file in the steam folder. plz help, cans someone send his steam.exe file to me, it's not big. Please send it to me, cuz i don't want to reinstall everything and make a mess again.

ya i lost me exe too, i just went to the uninstall thing and went repair and got the steam exe back

The same thing happened to me, but replacing the executable didn't work anyway.

It takes some time for steam to initiate.
