So many FPSs have this problem. STALKER is the most recent game that I've noticed this. The Marked One just seems like a friggin' midgit. I had this in Doom 3 and I've noticed it in the gameplay footage for Killzone 2. Why do devs have us playing as little bloodthirsty dwarves blowing of the kneecaps of those giants who have been oppressing us.

Ok, that's a little bit of an exaggeration, but I do feal like I'm Richard Hammand and all my enemies are Jeremy Clarkson. Is this just me or do other people get this too?

Not really, it's the animation - the Marked One doesn't stand upright like most NPCs, he always has a combat stance, making it seem as if you weren't as tall as others.

Even when he's just chatting to people? He must look like a retard going around with his head down like that at all times.

He's just paranoidal. You, know, like those weird little guys constantly shifting eyes and whatnot.

You would be too if a giant magic monolith brainwashed you into trying to kill yourself :P

In many games this is because the view is centralized on or near to the gun, making you appear shorter

His body horrifically rearranged, he committed himself to fight crime in all its forms, taking on a new identity so that he could hide from the world - and, henceforth, was known only as - GUN-MAN!

I remember playing Morrowind as a Brenton for awhile, then switching to a Nord character and I was like "holy **** I'm actually taller than some characters" *head asplodes*

I've got you beat on that.
