I'm not saying HL2 (or Halo 2, for that matter) are bad games, I'm sure they're both gonna be great. Almost wish I had an xbox. But if people think that the first reviews in magazines count for anything, they're crazy. They're bought, people, that's how the system works - maybe not Doug handing over $$$, but they're bought all the same. And that's ok - but let's not delude ourselves that it's great because of some silly hyped review. Just enjoy it for what it is when it comes out.

Indeed if there is alot of anti-half life 2 stuff around, all aimed at valve..bitter at them for one reason or another. I have no problem with these people till they feel they need to shout at us here...if they don't like the game, dont buy it, don't play it online I don't want to speak to them ever again, thank you for not interferring in my life!

Edge gave it 10/10. From what I hear, thats a pretty reputable source. But personally, a reviewer could give HL2 a 80% but I would give a flying ....ahem..... about it so long as I enjoyed the game. The same works vice versa too.
