why do people say half-life has a plot?

WTF are you guys talking about the entire time in hl1 you trying to ESCAPE black mesa. The plot is you in a giant science facility and you must get out because of monsters and marines that are trying to cover up this entire mess. God damn have you even played hl1 trizzim?

Unbelievable plot, so complicated, I mean the first time I relised the russians was in on it as well, mind-boggling twist! Awesome!

To all the HL2 fans out there.....
It's okay to like other games too. You don't have to hate every other game just because it's not HL. You don't have to rip on every other FPS because they aren't as good as HL. As a gamer don't you want all of these games to do well?

Well I hate the Doom series, I've always hated the doom series and I probably always will. Not because it isn't Half-life though.

i had only played the first dooms for a small time. I just bought D3 yesterday and i have to say im impressed but at the same time it just made me want half-life 2 even more. The story will be what makes the difference in the two (and the manipulator). If you've played D3 you probably know what i mean, Ive played it for only about 3 or 4 hours and im already getting bored when my only incentive to keep going is to get scared again

its not that the plot is exceptional its that for its time presenting a first person shooter in the way was revolutionary
