why do people think hl2 is bad?

on gamespot, i see people rating the game like 7, 8 or even 6! its outrageous. they say the most random things, like gordon doesnt talk, bla bla. the sound is bad, how is the sound bad? the sound in that game is the best ive heard! the graphics got rated like 8, they say farcry or doom3 was better. i dont think so. farcry lagged alot, and for my opinion, the story wasnt my style. doom3 looked nice, but it was apsolutely no gameplay nor story, end of disscussion. they say the ai is bad, how is hl2s ai bad? they take cover, they throw nades, they do stuff! they dare compare hl2 with doom3? doom3 had like what? 5 weapons? farcry was like lame, bad performance, pathedic storyline. id say they are lil fan boys, they dont know shit.

You should check out the Gamespot forums, especially the "System Wars" forum (one of the worst gaming related forum on the internet). Then you will understand some of the piss poor user ratings.

people have different tastes in different things, and at the end of the day you like it and someone else doesnt, who cares, no need to start a fight about it, u know u like it and thats all that matters. I think HL2 is one of the best games ive played for sometime personally.
