Why Dont Server List Update

well i havnt played in a very very long time , a good friend of mine who i played with daily from wake up to sleep we played CS and CS:S , he died 2 years ago and i basicly quit totaly jumping on once every 3 or 4 months to say hi to friends

but recently i decided i want to start playing again be the deserk eagle psychopath i used to be . but now after i update everything and get it going

i cant seem to get my server list to update it is like this. i refreash the list and my filters have >200 not full , thats it , well all my servers show say 63 of 64 players , i click it it shows names i join it , it has no players

so i was like hmm lets try this again , so i go down the list to a 59/64 and same thing join no ones there , i was like well damn this is making me me mad now

so i go lower then i am finding nothing but bots... i dont wanna fight bots i hate bots and everything they have to do

so what can i do to make my server list well work right?

edit: damn i cant belive how long i been a member and how little posts i got here

First we'll need some computer specs. Also are you behind a router? What's your modem speed?

gforce 7800GS OC
amd 64 3800
road runner router

everything works fine and its just CS:S that dont work right with servers i tried complete uninstall deleting of folders and anything hl replated to my pc and nothing worked

Well a firewall could be blocking port access, so could your router.
http://www.portforward.com/ should help.
