Heavenly Sword is looking tasty. I'll be keeping an eye out for White Knight too. Other than that i'm not hugely impressed (RE5, my most wanted game in that list, is also appearing on the 360), but it's early days yet. This time next year and the PS3 should be kicking ass

I'm not sure about the PS3. It's overpriced and I don't think it's worth the extra money for the handfull of great games that are exclusive. The Getaway looks gorgeous but i'd rather keep my money and play it at a mates house.

Some of those games look nice and I probably will get a PS3 a few months after launch. Sure I could get the same amount of crazy Japanese games with the Wii but the mainstream titles dont impress me as much. PS3 all the way!

Heh, RE5 and GTA4 are coming to the XB360.. UT2k7 is coming to the PC, keyboard+mouse ftw and FNR3 has been out for quite a while on the 360, and unless the PS3 version ships with a totally redone career mode, it's pretty meh.. But there's one game on that list.. The one PS3 game to rule them all.. MGS4 <3 Oh, and BFBC and Assassin's Creed are also coming to the 360.. I don't see the point of doing these threads, why I'm excited to own xxx, when you list multiple games that are coming out for the rival console.^^

Too bad Ninja Theory didn't showcase the new build of Heavenly Sword, which would be outdoors with huge amount of enemies and not the arena we saw at E3 2006, because of a bug in the game. Bah.

Tasty titles tho, Motorstorm was one of the most impressive games I saw on TGS, Evolution Studios certainly has gone a long way with the game. Can't wait for the PS3.

I don't think it matters if games are multi format. These titles are certainly a good reason to own a PS3.

Perhaps the poster hasn't an uber pc that can run some of the games well, or maybe they prefer playing on a console (i'd much rather be playing GTA or Assassins Creed on a ps3/360 for example)

yup thats the case I would much rather play ut07 on PC with a keyboard/mouse combo, but, since I just built this pc, and probably won't get full graphical bliss from ut07 when it ships, I would suck it up and play it on the console, if I got to see it in all its high res glory... And if I don't have to pay a monthly fee just to play.

Sadly, people seem to have completely forgotten MoH: Airborne. For shame!! Its coming out for all platforms too, so no worries for the fanboys.

But the PS3 titles I am most lookign forward to are Motorstorm, Heavy Rain, Afrika, White Knight, FF XIII (another forgotten one), and MGS4.

I think Airborne will bring the series back to its glory days, esp. if they can actually implemement all of the incredibly awesome-sounding gameplay elements that they have been talking about. I agree it has been crap for quite some time, but its not dead yet. CoD3 is another story--it looks like a slighty prettier 2...and that is just plain sad.

heh - damn right. I even thought it was pretty ropey first time around.

I'm getting more and more hyped about the PS3, but am not interested in MGS, DMC or the next FF. The machine has loads of potential and I want something new.

hope you're right but ..I wont hold my breath. CoD is going along the same path that ruined MoH ..churn out product irrespective of narrative/gameplay/plotline ..millions of people were involved in ww2, you'd think there were more stories than just US/brit/russian soldier pov (who remarkedly had much the same experience). Where's my sandbox game ffs?!! I want to be an operative in the french resistance, scale the cliffs of navarone, whistle in definance of japanese soldiers in a pow camp, help innocents escape persecution and sabotage submarines while in harbour as part of the world's first amphibian squad

While those list of game's have a few promising titles (and a godly one in MGS4), the ones I'm most interested don't have announced titles.

The 'Ico' or Shadow of the Collosus Team, God of War team, Rockstar (other than GTA4), Naughty Dog (don't remember if they have any announced) and a few other dev's I can't remember.

Although Resistance: Fall of Man should be interesting since it's Insomniac first non-platformer. I really hope The Getaway reverts back more to the original but fix some gameplay elements, I really liked the original.

ya but so far episodic content has been underwhelming in terms of sales (sin reportedly didnt sell well) ..but I see your point: it's the same model EA has been using in their sports games for years (madden, nhl etc) ..and to be honest we're not their intended audience ..for example Call of Duty 2 was the best selling 360 title at over a million units ..yet hardcore gamers were mostly "meh" over the game ..so despite the fact that to many hardcore gamers Cod2 (and other games of it's type) is little more than a rehash of every ww2 game ever made it still sells like proverbial hotcakes ..the casual gaming market still has a lot of influence

Again , some titles listed just havn't been shown to a degree we can judge , and some titles I personally don't think they are special. Though , all look great.

Unknown Realms gave me a thought of how awesome a Quest/adventure can be with next gen gfx.
