because its faster at higher resolutoins and has better imagine quality. But im talking about the 9800vs5900 im not sure about 9700 figures.

The reason your having problems is I assume you didnt have an ati card installed originally and you didnt properly remove all of the previous drivers. I have had this 9800 pro since it first came out and its the fastest card I have ever owned. Btw Dell sux, along with gateway, compaq, etc. I would never EVER buy a pc, they are so much cheaper to build and you know the quality of parts you put in are good as opposed to generic stuff they like to use.

the only manufacturers i know of that are good are AlienWare systems (www.alienware.com). Although they're expensive, you get a very nice case and always top-of-the-line hardware. And you can customize everything exactly the way you want it.

alienware still sucks pricewise
