Why punishing is wrong:

So here's the scenario, i'm commander doing my commander thing, watching as the mec take over a neutral flag. So i call in an air strike, because no friendlies were around. Well, before the artillery hits one of those go-karts comes blazing onto the scene carrying a squad of three. I type "move lex(the guys name) artillery!" and twice i warn his squad via radio, "Move it! Artillery!", naturally they all three jump out right at the flag and go prone. The artillery comes, kills all three of them and then each one of them punishes me for a team kill. Not only does it says "artillery shot over", and put a blinking red symbol on your mini map, but i typed a warning, and radioed them twice about the artillery. Some people are just dumbasses. A few moments later, the same thing happens, i call in artillery on an enemy capped flag, and then one of our helicopters comes onto the scene, lands and two people jumped out. As they were hovering trying to land, i warned them via radio twice, as usual, then typed "alright, but when you die don't go punishing me for it", of course they both die, punish me, and i get kicked from server for excessive team killing. Some people are so f'ing stupid!

Even though I sympathize with your situation and think the guys in the two scenarios were complete ***holes, some people team kill on purpose and need to be punished.

Too bad they can't find a way to force a linkup into their brains to tell if their brains registered the message or not and judge the punishment on that... :(

Oh yeah, the USMC team rocks!

Punishing is retarded. With teamspeak and 2 other clannies we got in a game of BF2. Eventually we got bored because our team sucked and we stood no chance. So, I had a GF4 then and tanks where invisible. I plowed into one at full speed and it said he teamkilled all 3 of us. We all voted and got him kicked from the server. Long story short, we're assholes and got a few more people kicked by plowing into other peoples vehicles and blowing up in a terrible explosion of death and polygons.

I've also been kicked from a server for a rather stupid fluke. :[
Im in one of those stinger missle cannon things with the 2 rockets, I see a MEC jet flying over I fire both rockets at it and they chase it into the distance, he throws his flares and apparently my rockets managed to go flying into a loaded, friendly blackhawk, blowing it up and killing everybody, promptly getting me kicked. This has happened twice, i've blown up a friendly plane just because a rocket swerved off course. :\

Today i had some dumbass crash his plane directly into my tank and we each got charged with tkin each other, but i forgave the guy thinking maybe he lost control, but he punished me. I almost was ready to purposly kill the guy when we spawned.

I bet it's that whole American attitude of it's never your fault. (Think of the people who sued McDonalds for hot coffee) So when somebody dies and the TK message comes up, nothing could possibly matter because it's obvious they are in no way, shape, or form even slightly responsible for what has just occurred.

A lot of people just do it automatically, they don't know what happened and assume it is your fault, and a lot of people do it out of anger even if it was there fault or just a complete accident (no one is at fault, happens a lot) or sometimes they get confused, page up is usually yes like "Yes I want to punish".
