Yeah, pirating is wrong, buy if you're just a kid who wants to make a model for his mod then it's OK. You don't make any money from it, and they don't lose any money (no way, no how you're gona afford to pay 11k for it anyway)

no definately i wouldn't pay 11k for it unless i had that kind of cash to spare but im not going to steal it either.. i own max thats good enough for me i was just wondering why softimage costs so much more than the other modellers out there...

Im sure they will do what they did with 3dmax and make a free "toned down" version. Gmax or something. I never really was into modelling much. Was it free? I cant remember.

erm, don't turn this into a random insult thread .... anyway, the reason that it costs so much is that the 11K is for the license to install it on any computer you want, so find someone with a license and get it
