im really starting to wonder why Valve is so tight lipped on the details of half life 2. We know that the game is done and just being approved. So why dont we know all the multiplayer modes included, why dont we know whats included in the CE, why dont we know the price of the CE. i can maybe understand the CE issue if the figurines are being produced by another company that hasnt finished but its about time they tell us more about the game. Us ATI voucher holders and people who rebuilt new computers last year to play this game are still sitting here wondering what is gonna be included in the game. First lies and now just silence.

BTW, i appreciate Valve for making such a great game, i just wish we all knew what was going to be included.

Its not like you never lied to your parents  Delays happen in the game community, you need to learn that. What are they suppose to tell you? They have no new news about HL2, they've given out enough information, just go read the "valve info only thread."

They are doing it so people like you ask why! You see how that works?!

Maybe they want it to be a suprise, or they themselves have no idea yet \=

 Valve believes in the good ol' saying, "You have to suffer first, then you will receive pleasure". YEAH!

o ya, how many posts till im not a damn headcrab anymore?

i know that, but they dont wanna say what kind of mp, besides css that is. which better come with standard hl2 and not damn CE

They have already said cs:s is coming with all versions of HL2....

i blame rap music, and the fact that US TALKING ABOUT IT IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHY THEY DO IT~!!!! (hype) ahem, srry about that

It doesn't matter if it doesnt come with a mp (except for CS:S). A day after release (and if there's no mp) 100000 mods will magically appear for it :p

WTF are you talking about?

I've already bought HL2:CE. Its 80 dollars. Simple as that.

Next time check the rest of the internet before you make a dumb ass rant here.

Less details, the less expectations, the greater the reward of playing it.

how cool would it have been to play not knowing barney shows up eventually?

I'd rather know less about specific game details (enemies, weapons, characters) and more about the important parts of the game, like MP. It's not that Valve tells us too little (look at all the vids and the Valve Info thread) but they tell us too much of the wrong stuff.

I still find it odd, even perplexing that people think valve outright lied to them. Do you think that iD, Bethseda, Blizzard, Bungie, and every developer that misses their projected release dates, to be liars? All the developers listed have given solid, confirmed multiple time, release dates, and missed them by a year or more. This is just how development goes, when you are self funded, and work on triple A hits at a smash factory developer.

Well, as for multiplayer it will be a surprise. Wouldn't be much of a surprise if they told all about it right?

As for the cost. Does it really matter?

Personally I can wait to see for myself.

Gee i wonder if it could be they get flamed to hell each time they do say something?

That and the Multiplayer is a secret.

exactly. Valve pretty much built this franchise on forum members and modders. Its actually a great way of marketing, because gamers/forum members/modders make or break games now. And if you create a mysticism around your product, ie: a few bink videos, and a couple of interviews... we all want more. Wanting more starts threads like this, and we all start talking to "potential customers" of how great this game is. I think Valve is really sweating bullets right now. Not because of the "going gold", but of how we'll all react to HL2.

Dunno if this has been said before, but I just joined and thought I'd spout off. heh
