There was a rumour that went around a lot of news agencies that said the game wouldn't be out until Autumn/Fall. This is unconfirmed and the official word is it will still make Summer 2004.

Either way this is all a bit pedantic because it's likely to be released in September and Fall/Autumn starts on September 22nd. We're literally shitting ourselves over a week or two.

All of you please try to calm yourselves down, or this thread is getting closed.

Still agust: Vu goes over game to make sur it works.

Yet again same month: starts making CD'S and boxes, all ofther material

Septmember: still making copies of game:

Still Sept: going over Copyright

Late Sept: guestimate amount of copies made for mass fanboy purhace; game ships

I heard it takes less than 2 weeks from the gold date to the date the game can hit the stores globally, thanks to vivendi's manufacture/distribution plants being placed globally to save on shipping large crates of games all over the place.

I'm guessing the game will go gold mid august and ship early september, if we're betting, i'll put a tenner on the 3rd.

That would be the schedule if Vivendi was one man!!!

Why would Vivendi go over it to check if it works? Isn't that what Valve are doing now? Vivendi just copy and distribute. All boxes etc will be made by then ready for the shipping. Copyright issues wont effect the schedule. Once Vivendi has a large enough quantity of copies it will ship them out worldwide and continue to make more. There will not be 5 million copies on release day.

I think it's only 2 weeks before hiting the shelves and I hope they already have a box, manual and Special Editions Plans
