Wierd problem with saving images...(probably really dumb)

So the past few days, I've come across some images that I wanted to save but couldn't. Simply, Firefox has been coming up only allowing me to save an image as url.htm. I need these images in either .gif/.jpg/.png/ whatever format thats actually viewable. How the hell do I fix this?

I don't know, but reinstalling it should fix it in minutes.

Is it all pics or only some on a specific site?

Its on all sites, even just looking up random images on Google. I'll try the uninstall/reinstall method though.

You should just be able to install a new copy and it will remove the old copy for you.

If that doesn't work, you may have to abandon your preferences, which may entail deleting your Firefox profile.

Unless it is that image.

EDIT:WOAH, it took a few minutes but I can save everything as .JPG now. Weird that it took a few minutes though...

EDIT 2:WTF it says save as url.htm as my only option again. ****ing A.

are u using the latest beta version of firefox, 3.1 i think? from what ive read online, there seems to be a problem with image saving on that, but double-clicking the .url file actually opens up a firefox page to save the image

seriously? a problem with saving pictures...a feature that's been around since the internet? come on Mozilla, i expect doomsday crashes and bugs from new Firefox builds but this? This is sad....
