Believe me, that is a powerline supports. These buggers are everywhere in the UK, not sure about the rest of Europe though. The power line support structures look different in shape and size in the US, France, Germany, etc. It all depends what company is contracted to build them.
 
I didn't know it was a joke at first. I actually thought he was complaining about what the power lines looked like in the game.
 
Did anyone look at the pic I posted? It is an electricity pylon from the side.

yep, that's a powerline. If you look really closely just when that part of the video fades in..you can see powerlines coming from that and going across the screen.
 
Those are balls they put on power lines to keep aircraft from running into the powerlines.
 
How has no one seen one of those before?

It's the high-voltage powerlines that go cross long distances supplying power out of city, out of province or country.

Er....I think we've cleared that up now. I think people know what it is. A pylon....not a giant bowling pin.

Look.....we know it's a pylon. Can we stop now please....it's getting boring!! Clearly people were being sarcastic, and I think pretty much everyone has seen an electricity pylon.

Edit: Apart from SLH who lives underground and gets his electricity via a chain of conducting gophers.
