How would a game that was never coded to use motion-sensing controllers, suddenly use them? Especially as the Wiimote, even with the nunchuk, has less buttons than the GC controller.
Twilight Princess is the entry in the Zelda series that we will be talking about for years to come. You will no longer be using Ocarina as your comparison for future Zelda games…TP takes that honor. It takes everything that Zelda has done in the past, and gives it to you 10-fold. It also gives you a ton of brand new elements that you never knew you needed in a Zelda game. All that time that TP was pushed back was more than worth it. This is the definitive entry in the series. From here on out I will worry that the next Zelda title won’t live up to TP. That is how damn good this game is…I can’t even find the time to enjoy it fully. I am too busy worrying that the next one won’t kick as much ass. You need this game…and you need it now.

Gamespot gave Twilight Princess an 8.8. Definately the lowest score so far. Haven't read it yet, but it is interesting how the site gave Ocarina a 10, and most sites proclaim that this Zelda sets the new standard.
I have decided to kill myself. There just seems to be no reason left to live. It all started about 20 minutes ago when I read a review...for the seemingly best game ever made. It got an 8.8.
That was it, how can I move on? This game was my only passion in life, and now its perfect score streak has been spoiled. It got a B. I get Straight A's just so I can play this game, and now I find out it only worth a B.
This is unsatisfactory.
Death to Gamespot.

lol, pretty muchGathered from the internet, in response to the gamespot rating.
Both of those reviews make me fear for the future of the industry.Everyones buzzing about the Gamespot Zelda review, but people might care about Madden 07 getting an 8.5 from IGN.

Meh, it's more the fact that developers can get away with releasing the same game every year for a decade, while adding literally almost nothing to the core game, and still manage to pull a score far over the 6 or less that it truly deserves. The 8.8 for Zelda was from Gamespot. The 8.5 for Madden was from IGN, and IGN gave Zelda a 9.5. Now if Gamespot gave Madden an 8.9, THEN I'd be concerned...

Yet he gives GoW a 10 for things like Sound and Gameplay. Hide behind cover then shoot for the entire game doesn't seem too original to me, and can the gun sounds really be that different to the 100s of other shooters to warrant a 10?That review didn't sound so bad. It seems the reviewers main gripe was that TP was very similar to OoT - not a bad thing for many of us.
Preorders and actual deliverance on them IS impressive, but the reviews seem to be a simple case of "one 9+ game, 3 8s and a bunch of shit you'd never play unless you were trying to desperately justify having spent £180 already". But then I suppose many console launches are like this anyway... In fact, having a 9+ scoring game at launch is probably impressive. It's just a shame that it's a Zelda game, and my inclination is towards not touching it by proxy through a warehouse of 8" tall amazon women holding a barge poll originally commissioned for use on the Titanic.A whimper? Check out the number of preorders and the reviews for Zelda. For many people it isn't going to be a whimper at all
As far as I see, £180 would seem an extravagance to be spent on making a Wii-equivilent PC, even though mine is 3 years old (I suspect that a 2600XP, 1gig ram, 9800pro PC is equal or even greater in power than a Wii. Correct me if i'm wrong of course.).£180 seems like a bargain to me - especially when compared to how much it's going to cost to upgrade my pc. Now that really is a daunting proposition/gamble.
You wont be using a Wii as a PC though. So comparing the prices is idiotic. As far as I see, £180 would seem an extravagance to be spent on making a Wii-equivilent PC,

No shit. That quote is a response to another suggesting that there is some comparrison though, so I would appreciate you not taking it in isolation and calling me "idiotic".You wont be using a Wii as a PC though. So comparing the prices is idiotic.
I remember there was a thread here about two weeks ago about Nintendo having one more surprise regarding the Wii that had not been revealed yet. Does anyone know what that "surprise" turned out to be?
Exactly what I thought it would be:
Nothing
At least not yet...and I really doubt it'll come out later today before launch.
I thought it was the "mii" feature....as in, the little guys that you make for the online wii community or whatever...and friends who bring their wii controllers into your vicinity get their mii and all their stats added to your wii.
Apparentley the controller has flash memory embedded in it somehow.
"Surprise! The Wii's Weather channel isn't up until December 4th!"We've known that for months now.
There was recent talk of another revelation almost as big as the controller unveiling itself.
