Lets say the we are on the last week to go for the release.
it is only five days away till the game is out...

Will all of you still be counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds on that last week?

or will you not be as hyper as you was before the 30th?

i am saying this because the leak and the pictures we have seen.
and well alot of spoilers.

I will not care unless BOTH Valve and Vivendi simultaneously confirm the game has gone GOLD and they BOTH confirm a shipping date.

THEN, and ONLY THEN will I care.

Right now - I am all fizzled out over the past 2 weeks of crap that has happened. I can't take anything Valve or Vivendi says as legit anymore.

I'll still be as hyped up as when I first heard about HL2. It's not just about playing the game until you have completed it and then uninstalling it, think about how much HL1 revolutionised Multiplayer gaming and the first person shooter genre. Halflife2 will do it all over again only on a much bigger more immersive scale.

Im looking forward to seeing where the Mod community take Halflife2 and the expansion packs that Valve bring out.

cool

i mean lets say valve and vivendi comfirmed it and it has gone gold.
on that week will you all be counting them last fews days down! and be the first in line to grab your copy?

I'm still going to get it the moment I have enough money and a powerful enough computer to run it. Just because there's a half-arsed version running around the net doesn't mean that the finished game won't rock. I haven't seen anything in the screenshots floating around that I wasn't expecting.

I really wan't to try my hand at modding when the game comes out...anyone know if the sdk and XSI will be included in the box?:E

Y'know, I think a whole load of people, the kind that have just seen the previews of HL2 in computer mags and thought "Cool, gotta get that when it comes out", aren't even aware of the beta leak. The game's still going to sell loads of copies when it arrives.:)

I still want to feed those blasted hackers into a meat grinder, though. I hope VALVe can sort them out.

Mmmmmm.....Half Life 2.....<Drools>

Seeya.

I won't believe anything from valve vivendi until i see the game in the flesh/in my favourite game store....until then i'm gonna take every little bit of info we get from valve or vivendi with a BIG friggin' grain of salt.

They've both pissed on the community with their lack of info, delays and other crap....but its not to say i hate them both.
I just think coming out and telling the community whats going on, it would atleast be the most decent thing to do atm.

I must admit, the delays and rumor mongering are killing my enthusiasm.

I'm still going to get it, but the past week or so of shit has really pissed me off. Although it hasn't really stopped me wanting to get it.

honestly, after playing the so-called beta, i am even more eager to play hl2.

Even with the beta there is only so much you can do. Alot of things dont work for example I cant control antlions not only that but tons of errors and stuff i cannot do. The beta also has no story and it feels lonely/creapy like a empty theme park. Some levels dont even have textures on them but maps like Coast I could tell this game is going to be killer and Im still buying it. Id buy halflife2 just for the music (I Loved the music in e3_seafloor) This beta only made me want HL2 more. This Beta doesnt include all the maps so we have alot to see, and I have still yet to find other characters

tork i feel exactly the same...shit dude, hl2 is gonna be insane!!!
