Will anyone try to beat HL2 with just the manipulator?

I know I will be after I beat it first time around, I'll be going back in on hard mode, using just the manipulator and the crowbar, but only the crowbar if it HAS to be used for whatever case or reason, other then that, just the Manipulator, what about you guys?

I suppose you'd have to fix the game so that you're given a manipulator from the start to even things out a little, that way you probably wouldn't need to use the crowbar at all.

Beat the whole game with a maniuplater? Might be challenging, especially since you start with a crowbar.

I assume that you don't get the manipulator very early in the game. Anyway, it an for sure be taken at the start with the console. Sounds like an interesting challenge. Since it can also blast obstacles same as Crowbar, I guess it would be possible.

I dont see how your going to kill gunships and striders with a manipulator. The boss at the end would be difficult to kill also.

Well, if you don't get the manipulator for a while, and have to use crowbar, so be it. Then again, having to take out big enemies that require guns, I can see you using it there, but other then that, no.

Well, once we play through the game once, it'll be possible to see what challenges can be made. Most probably, a crowbar/manipulator go will be possible through most of the game. It's quite likely there will be a few points where you have to use actual weapons, but we don't know yet.

I guess you could give yourself the manipulator and then maybe change some stats in the config or watever to make it a bit more powerful (so that you can throw cars....). I think that´s what i vill do the second time i play the game.

Actually the organic manipulator can maipulate "organic" substances, but u only get that version of the manipulator at the end ofthe game. And yes u need the gravity gun to defeat the game.

You can alter it's power to pick up cars? How sweet would that be.
