Will HL2 Work on our Computers???

Hi all this is fer all u ppl that think u have computers that can predict the future but can it play HL2.

I hav an ATHLON 2000XP with 128GF FX5200(Yes its crap im getting new soon) and 512mb RAM. My comp can play most if not all games out at the moment but will it play HL2.

Will HL2 work or do we have to falk out an extra $1000 from our piggybanks to upgrade.

Would u upgrade for 1 game???

With the FX5200 it definately will not.
I'd suggest getting a radeon 9600 pro, excellent bang for buck.
You could also consider getting a new CPU but that depends on your mobo

Use a little effort and look for requirements next time.

Yes, this can obviously play Half-Life 2. You'll probably get nice speeds at DX8 with that 5200.

Exactly, the minimum specs have been released and if not Its fairly obvious your PC is beefed up.

HELL, Valve even said the engine scales up and down depending on your hardware, so generally, no matter what PC you have it will work with what its given.
