O.k I know this has been posted before but I wasn't sure about my comp. I would like to know if HL2 will run on my computer and how it would do.

Here are the specs:
P4 2.53 ghz
512 mb SDRAM
GeForce 4 Ti 4200 128 mb DDR RAM
Sound Blaster Live Platinum
80 GB hardrive


My dad won't let me upgrade my video card.:flame: :flame: :flame:

Please don't flame me.

I just want to run HL2 at the best capabilities.

yea you ca nplay but im nor sure that you can play it on max if you want to "enjoy" the game. but i cant make a conclution. wait to the game to be realesd then you now !

Yes, but one wont reach cinematic rendering... You need the Geforce FX 5900 Ultra to reach the magical 24 fps :p

24 FPS ?, no way, Gabe said on R9700 + all the HL2 technolody features is on you will have at least 40FPS.

Please end it. It is over you could have just answered and made it simple but you have to complicate things by flaming people. Besides there is nothing to talk about in Half Life 2 except for this. Accually there are LOTS of other things to discuss about HL2 than just if your computer will be able to handle it.
 
Murray I said we all talk about the same stuff. I mean we are dreaming, can we do this and that, is there going to be a nude pat ch for alyx? Believe me I didn't want to post this thread because of people flaming me but I really needed to know I REALLY did NOT want to go to best buy and come home and find out HL2 won't be a game it would be a slide show.

Yes, your system will run the game just fine. the ti 4200 is a good card, and you have plenty of Ram/procc speed.

My guestimate would be high details at 1024x768 with no problem. maybe highest detail with no AA/AF.

have no fear, you can play HL2.

your like one of those people that i could convince need to buy all 987 million volumes of the encyclopedia britannica arent you?

1) anyone with components like that obviously knows what they are doign to an extent. if not then

2) ANY MORON can get a clue from other current video games as to how they will run this new game coming out.

3) if its his dads computer or brothers or moms or whatever...he could ask them...think about it, would you ask someone you know that you live with thus saving you time....or register on forums. post a thread and wait for reply's from random people you do not know.
