Will It suck....

geforce fx5200 PCI
760 mb RAM
80 gb
celeron (no p4)

those are pretty much my sys specs, and i got 30 fps on the cs:s stress test at 1024x768 with all the setting up exept aa and af - it'll run, tho i won't be able to help thinking how much better it could look... i should have $ to build a new machine by the end of the year - tho i'm really hoping they don't delay the game that long - i think you'll be alright untill then...

the topic to begin with was a bad idea because he asks how it will perform. then people reply with 'bad', or 'good', but of course those are subjective. he may be content with 15fps for all we know.

madFive, I bet you have a P4 cpu or a better graphic card than that.

My story:

My other computer(ok its not mine) has Geforce 2 MX 440 card in it with intel celeron 2.6 ghz, all I can say is the games just look like crap and yes it looks like quake 2 on the newer games. If we say that fps doesn't matter, I have done some test. This is a test compared with 9700 NP. Ok so settings are on medium on res 1024x768, I run it first on geforce 2. Ok so thats done, I try 9700 NP now and have the same settings and you know what........9700 NP makes it look like very high settings compared to geforce 2. It just looks much better(since it supports DX 9.0 and some other stuff that geforce 2 doesn't have)

What is proven with this is like when you have a decent card and try to play it on medium settings just for that dude thats wondering how it will look on medium settings and you say "tried it and looks just fine"......well you're wrong(!) Try an older card and say if it looks fine or not, you'll see how much worse it is on older cards.
