I have a.....

Intel Celeron D
Processor 325
256MB DDR
40GB Hard Drive
Combo DVD & 48x CD-Writer
Intergrated Intel Extreme Graphics (up to 64MB dynamically shared video memeory)

I don't know much about computers but i do know my computer is pretty old so it won't be able to compete with most of yours.

Any info on how Half-Life 2 would run on my computer and anyways to increase the graphics or speed of my computer for free or very little money will be grately(sp?) appreciated.

(sorry about the spelling)

its prob. not going to run but theres a possibilty that it might

It wont run...simple as. You NEED 512 ram, and you NEED a graphics card...intergrated doesn't suffice. You have to upgrade to play it, theres no debating it. It simply wouldnt run on that system sorry.

Yes..
I hope you can afford a new computer because this is not a game to pass on.

Minimum Requirements

* 1.2 GHz Processor
* 256MB RAM
* DirectX 7 level graphics card
* Windows 2000/XP/ME/98

It does run, just most of the graphics and things are on low or medium, does anyone know anyways how to improve my graphics or my memory for very little money or if no monet at all

AFAIK memory isen't that expensiv (but dont ask me) as far as Gfx cards go, they cost a lot. Don't think theres a way around that unless you go to the head of Ati/Geforce and ask him for a free card :p

That sounded very stupid. Oh well try:
www.newegg.com

The problem is the onboard graphics, they really struggle with newer games such as Half Life 2. They will run it, in fact I can play HL2 on my Centrino laptop with the same graphics.

Your best bet would be to try and get hold of a GeForce 4 MX440, possibly even a cheap GeForce FX5200. Either of this cards can be bought for under £40 in the UK for example, and they will help to a certain extent.

Get a GeForce FX5200, you will be able to run it on high settings with AA x2 at a steady 20-40 fps range.

Atleast I can....

It will run with your current computer, but it will be very, very sluggish. Try go get a GeForce FX5200, as it has been said.

Try running Wolf3d, Doom1, or maybe Duke Nukem 3D on that thing first. Then work your way up.

Hmmm. Those require alot of grunt to play, I'd stick with notepad or calculator.

The suggestion I would make since you said very little money is see if you can find a used ATI 9600 Pro or XT on ebay (don't pay more than $50) and cheap generic memory mwave is a good place to shop. The ATI card I suggested will run the game it’s not the best, but it will get the job done.

even that will strain it, DOS is a great tester

sorry, but no. Buy some more memory and a new gfx card, what speed was your cpu ?
