Will my pc be ok

Ok this is my spec:

AMD Athlon 1.8 ghz 512 L2 chche

Radeon 9800 pro 256mb

768 ddr 2100 233 mhz ram

And a 578 kbps broadband connection.

Will I be able to run hl-2 at its full potential, every game out now i can run at absoultly everything, full v-sync, antialising, astropothic filtering everything up max and i get 1% lag will this be different for hl-2??

I've got an AthlonXP 1600+, 256Mb RAM and a GeForce3 64Mb
Can I just upgrade the graphics card(and possibly add some more RAM)? Would that make a big enough difference or would it make more sense to just save up and buy a whole new PC (I'm thinking of that at the moment)

Oh hell yeah, snag at least another 512mb of DDR Memory ($50-$75), and then maybe a Radeon 9500 Pro (depending on your budget).

Well, it's just I'm worried about my aging CPU... I mean, it's getting less and less credible, surely? If I got more RAM, a DX9 Radeon/GeForceFX card would that make up for the CPU? would I be able to run games like HL2 and Deus Ex2 at decent resolutions with options turned up decent?
