Will there be a Hazard Course 2?

I hope theres a tutorial or something like it.. I loved the HL/opforce tuts :)

I think that the hazard course will be optional. It might just start with the G-Man running us through things we've missed or things they've changed to the HEV, like how they maybe made it lighter weight (the sprint ability) while removing weapon-holstering capabilities (if Valve decides to go CS-style inventory). Then he'd run Gordon through the usual stuff with a little extra, just to get us aquainted with the new game and changes.

I think AmishSlayer may be right here :)

It'd be kinda cool if it was in the burning, decimated rubble of the old BMRF hazard course... :)
I don't expect that though... It'd be a bit weird. Probably is the standard hazard course of G-Man's organisation...

I know what you mean, I liked Halflife because it was sci-fi in a movie kind of way, not some cheese ball goof fest. I want it to retain its' half-seriousness :)

I think the Hazard Course would start in the basement of a building in the centre of City 17 (assuming that's where you "wake up"), and the Gman says some stuff and sends you through a make-shift Hazard Course that takes place entirely inside the building. You would have to move thru a maze of sorts, jump and duck over things, open doors and use control panels and elevators, get your USP Match and fire off a few rounds, etc etc. Basically a little "test" to see if Gordon is still in good shape or not, and if he's retained his experience and familiarity with weapons and whatnot. It can be easily integrated into the story, and also acts as a training mode for complete noobs and little children :).

Also, at the beginning the Gman could ask you if you want to have a little "review" of your skills, or if you dont want to waste any time and just move on to your first assignment. And there are two passages you can take, the one on your left leads to the training, the one on the right leads to an elevator that takes you up to ground level to start the game.

I never played Blue Shift...was there a Hazard Course in that? And if so, was it the one from hl1? because if it wasnt that would be stupid. I think i remember them saying that all personell must go though the training.

(i dont trust other people making hl games, OpForce was cool....but there were many parts that I didnt like and could see where Valves design abilities were needed........and I herd Blue Shift was crap) but i havent played it.
