Plz stop saying that 30 fps is enough, it's just not if you like smooth gameplay.
If a game would use blurring effects for fast movements it would seem more realistic to the eye at 30 fps.

I always thought this until recently. I played Chaser nearly all the way through before I turned on it's on screen FPS. I'd been more than happy with the performance until that point. When I actually saw the FPS i was shocked that it was only around 25-30. It was only after I knew that I really cared. If you can see framesrate changes over 30fps then your superhuman.

the human eye can detect waaaaaaaaay beyond even 60 fps, let alone 30. Personally I don't like to have my fps EVER dip below 60.

to the casual gamer (which this chap clearly is) he will notice no difference. You can flame me all you like but personally I don't see any differences above 30 fps. I got a 9800np which runs games up at 80-100fps. Can't really tell the difference in-game from my last card apart from the textures and effects are nicer. If you sit there and anally analyse it you might tell a difference but get real in-game you wouldn't really notice. Try turning your FPS counters off and just enjoy the game. Same goes for heavy AA and AF, after the first few minutes of play you switch off and don't really notice the subtle differences anymore. Stop being such techy snobs. Yes the human eye can see beyond 30 fps but as lonf as the games smooth does it really matter. Can you really hear the difference between 44hz and 48hz sound, only the anal audiophiles can,to the casual listener it sounds the same. So stop trying to shovel you techy snobbery down the necks of casual gamers
