Will Valve tell us when HL2 is bug free? Or silence

Someone just put a mic in the vicinity of the Valve building...when the game goes gold it can probably be heard a mile away. Then we'll know!

I don't know why all you people think the publisher will send the RC back to Valve. They publish games. They are just making sure it fits the rating bracket. They are not shooting for a teen rating.

They give the cheat codes to the publisher, They play the game and determin the rating. BABBA BOOM. it's gold. I can't see a reason for the RC to Gold taking a long time.

Printing is the only slow down.

Looks like when the game (hopefully) goes gold I'll be halfway accross the world, so fingers crossed, touch wood, etc., I'll come back to find it being released within the fortnight :naughty: Or perhaps not :hmph:

I think we'll find out about it. BEcause if we don't get a word from Valve/Vivendi when the countdown has finished, I bet several hl2.net members WILL e-mail Gabe & ask. And they usually respond

I think we will be told when HL2 is bug free, mayb not from Gabe himself.

But they will only do this when they are 110% sure , to stop all the potential e-mails they will get of 'now that its free of bugs,when will it go gold' etc etc etc.

doesn't change anything to know it's gold or not. It'll mean about nothing whether Vivendi holds it or ships it ASAP.

They hold it for a while: People witha brain complain. (people without a brain say " I can wait" "settle down!, what's HL2?"

They ship it ASAP: People go whoo-hoo. still takes a while to stamp em all. 14 Y/o's turn into 9 Y/O's and everyone else Kisses arse and spams "It's gold I told you so this" "I told you so that"

When it hits shelfs only morons spend their time chatting instead of playing. Mod community gears up. The people rejoice.
