Will you beat HL:S before playing HL2?

i will be beating hl2 before i beat hl:s b/c i dont have hl:s.

but if i had hl:s i will still beat hl2 before hl:s

that is actually an extremely tough question... i am considering playing hl source before just to get the story fresh in my head again and also just to make the anticipation of playing hl2 even greater knowing that i have to beat hl source to be able to play hl2... plus i think if i start playing hl2 then i wont be able to stop playing through it over and over and i will never get around to hl source

I'll definetely be playing hl2 before hl:s, but i'm not sure does the retail version come with hl:s? or is that only the collectors edition... if so then i need to get a dvd:rw drive to install hl2..... i think anyways? Is that right or does the collector's edition come out on normal cd's..?

I'm certainly going to try. I hope they allow HL:S to be played a bit before the HL2 release. That would be nice. Apparently it uses the Blue Shift hi-res pack for the models, and I never got to played BS, so maybe it will be a little more fresh for me.

If it comes out the same day as HL2... well, I may play through HL2, then played HL:S, then HL2 again.

I just finished HL1 on hard (took the last few days) and I finished OpFor today (only took 1 day, about 3-4 hours) and now on the blue shift then I'll be all set for HL2 :-D

hmm...does anyone know if HL:Source has an MP? i mean it makes sense to have it but then again we haven't heard anything specific, have we?

I want to play HL:Source first, but i know as soon as I get the chance to install Hl2 i will, so i will end up playing Hl2 first.

I am most likely to install and play Hl:source when i am about to reply Hl2.

Right now, the hype for Hl2 is too high for me to play Hl1.
