Will you buy HL2 retail or Steam and why?

steam pre-load for faster installation, collectors edition b/c of the goodies.
Edit: however i am planning on buying all of my expansions and whatnot through steam simply because id like to support valve and cut out the middle man.

Typically they go on sale at a lower price the weekend of release so I will buy it then.

Retail all the way. I love game boxes. Actually, I bought Red Faction a long time ago cause I wanted the box. That's how much I love game boxes...

I plan on getting a ATI radeon (not that fancy 256mb one cuz apparently there's no point, most games wont use it all) and im guessing the one i want is the one wiv the free HL2.
Well even though i have broadband and a free token for it. I still want the box and manual.

Manual as i said before is toilet aid, i just like reading how to do stuff i've already played and done

but dont get me wrong im not a collector of boxes as i guess most of the ppl who want a box arent, my games pile consists of cds in cases that they dont belong to without boxes/instructions or anything else, pretty messy really...
but there's something, i think its the fact i know it'l b a good game that makes me want HL2 all clean and new and fresh! *shudder of excitment* hey, roll on "end of summer 2004".

Meh, I still wonder how many people will actually attempt to download it. It'll be huge, even for a T3er.

As a 56ker, I'll stick to holding the box in my arms and purchasing it. I'd get a box, a manual, a CD... its the same reason people still buy books/magazines/newspapers when, ultimately, digitised text is far more efficient.
