hi i have a question i am wanting to try the win xp 64bit trail but my question is will i have to format after it ends or will it like allow me to go back to 32bit because i dont really want to format right now

You could always dual boot xp 32bit and xp 64bit and when the trial ends, just format and delete the partition that the 64bit on. That way you will still have your main os and you will be able to try the new one.

What you do is when installing windows XP and it asks do you want to partition 152564MB of space? (your whole harddrive) You delete that number and type how much you want it to use so you have space left over. 120000 MB lets say (120gb). Then go back and do another partition later for the remaining amount for Win 64 and install the trial.

so if i get what your saying u have to partion like 20gigs just for winxp and everything else will still be there??? or am i missing something

Well either reformat and redo the partitions or buy partition magic to change the size. You can't have a full harddrive, shrink the partition and expect all your files to be there though. You can't shrink it more than you have used.
