Even by fixing some of Vista's bugs Win7 is great.

Hah, it's not a dock.
The only thing that is Dock-like is the fact that your applications live in their shorcuts (Windows has had Large icons for a while which is why people think they look so similar).
When you use it, you will definitely still have that Windows feeling, as it's merely a combination of several Taskbar technologies (quicklaunch with large icons, thumbnails which are now clickable, and the normal button per task that has always been in Windows), infused with some new Win7 stuff (the fancy colors for example, as well as controlling apps from Jump lists and thumbnails actually have controls in them now for WMP for example).
