Can anyone tell me why Windows decides to re-arrange my folders the way it sees fit. Its really really annoying. One minute its set to view Icons, the next its in List. Sometimes its in alphabetical order, others its not.

Is there any possible way to fix this?? I have already checked off that option that says "remeber folder settings" or whatever it says, but it only stays for like 5 minutes then it gets all jumbled again. And this happens to almost every folder.

Nope, I make sure I don't have any spyware. I don't have any spyware dection programs or anything like that, but I only go to a limited number of sites that I know don't have any spyware, aslo it pretty much takes common sense to avoid spyware. I mainly use my computer for CS:S and other games.

I used to think the same thing, until I decided to download AdAware one day just for fun.

You should definitely download a few utilities to know for certain that you have no spyware or adware on your computer. :)

I'll check it out I guess.. But I'm 100% sure I don't have any. No weird programs in Add/Remove, no new processes, no nothing. Also, I doubt this is caused by spyware.

just click the button "apply to all folders" after you've got the right view type

Good tip Sythos, I'll try that out. As for the spyware thing, please, I am 100% sure it ain't that.

EDIT: Well, I downloaded Ad-Aware just to prove to myself that I had nothing. All it found was cookies, just cookies, no processes, no registry values/entries, no nothing. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think cookies do any type of damage to anything.
