Yea, Microsoft is going to detect who has the pirated version then kill that person's whole family but not that person. Thats just to teach them a lesson and show that Microsoft isn't playing around.

Microsoft released the devils0wn XP anyway, if they hadn't done then most people would be on Linux by now, linux games + apps would have been developed and be mainstream, and Microsoft would no longer have a monopoly. They would stand to lose a great deal more than if they had not released Devils0wn. They make enough money from businesses that buy legitimate software anyway. They know this.

If Bill Gates decided to give everyone in UK a free copy of WindowsXP he would'nt notice his bank balance change...he is the richest person on the planet. (or was, cant say i care much to check)

Plus you can't stop people copying cd's...or getting service packs with an illegal windows OS. And would anyone buy 5 windows XP pro if they had 5 pc's even if they was cops...i highly doubt it, no one is perfect...not even the old woman that let her dog have a shit and didnt pick it up or the cop that dropped a wrapper from the bubble gum he just ate.
