Need Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was playing around with my themes for Windows Xp and accidentally got the task bar(the thing when you open up My computer or control panel on the left side) on my desktop....and it won't go AWAY  :flame: it's a dam bar on the left side of my desktop it says folder tasks, other places and details. It's a dam eyesore everytime I get on. I have no idea how to get it off. I just stays there. My background is the same but you can't see a quarter of it and the icons are pushed to the middle and i can't drag NOTHING  ;( So can anyone help me out.

Left-click on the taskbar and just drag it back to the bottom.

(you must hold down the left mouse button while dragging) :)

...And to prevent that from happening again, Lock the Taskbar.

Hhmmm...I guess you need to unlock the taskbar, then.
Right-Click then uncheck Lock the Taskbar.
Then drag it.

sorry guys i meant the thing on the left side of when u open up My computer that type of thing is on the left side of my desktop

Here's How:
1. Press the Print Screen key on your keyboard.

2. Open an image editing program, such as Microsoft Paint.

3. Go to the Edit menu and choose Paste.

4. If prompted to enlarge the image, choose Yes.

5. Optional: Use your image editor's crop tool to crop out unnecessary portions of the screen shot.

6. Go to the File Menu and choose Save As.

7. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the image.

8. Type a file name for the image.

9. Select a file type.

10. Click the Save button.

11. Upload image attachment to post.

*Tips:
Hold the Alt key down while pressing Print Screen to capture only the active window.

Generally the GIF format works best when saving screen shots of application windows. The JPEG format usually makes screen shots (especially those with text) blurry, blotchy and discolored.

the print screen key does not work

Perhaps you'll be better off in a hardware forum like Hardocp or something. :|

If only you could post a screenshot of your desktop, we all could help. :(

nothing happens after you press the print screen key. You have to open up paint, then hit edit, paste.

1.) This belongs in Hardware&Software
2.) Don't fool around and change stuff when you don't know what the hell you are doing.
3.) How do you know how to format and not take a picture of your screen?

Are you sure that it isn't a part of the theme you were screwing around with?

i got the pic and it won't let me upload now WTF!!!

it says every time i try to upload it can't find halflife2.net

It's the screen where it gives you tips, like search or burn files to CD etc.
I forget exactly as I am running in classic mode. Hmmm
brb

Try this
Go to Tools, Folder Options and right under 'Tasks' click 'Use Windows Classic folders'
