I started making this map. There is no real objective in it so I made it an fy_ map, I think that's right.

I'm pretty noobish at this and I started mapping because this guy called Ichi was yelling at everyone saying shit... Ichi's like "W.T.F. matey? What thee hell is wroong with j00? are j00 a NOOB!? j00 suck mate! Is zat thang a model or a fooking scribbled drawing? It looks l3ik a p3nis not a fooking rocket lAUNCHER!?!wqfgf", and some random noob iz like, "Omgz00rz mang!?? What is j00r pr0blem ashhh hollle?", then Ichi's like, "STFU n00bi3", and some other dude is like, "woahhhh man", and another dude is like, "wooooooaahhhhhhhh dude"... Those rather plentiful conversations made me think... maybe I don't want to get yelled at by Ichi?

So I took up mapping :dozey:

Comments please... and I don't know why my water is pink..
 
its... dark cant really tell much but what I can see it looks good
 
Woah woah woah. Way too dark. Can't see a damn thing.
 
hmm it must be my screen then, maybe I put my brightness settings too high?
 
looks like you need to work on lighting now :)

about the pink water thing: have you included several env_cubemaps over the water, and have you built your cubemaps via the console?
 
they have to do with the way the engine renders stuff. don't worry about the technical stuff, just put them sparatically throughout your map, espicially around water and glass
 
They are env_cubemap entities. Just put them frequently throughout your map, especially over reflective surfaces, then run your map and in the console type BUILDCUBEMAPS.
