ok guys i got a prob.

i have finally managed to get a wireless conenction set up between 3 pcs in my house. now everythings great, but after 5 mins or so, or after i start to do something like download a file, it just stops working, and says it cant get a signal or find the network :frown:

i tried reseting the base station few times, and of course i can connect again, but 5 mins later......happens again

heres the setup

3 pcs

1 base station, flash lights are on

3 wireless adapters correctly installed

i dont think its a major problem with the setup cuz i have managed to connect and post this now... anyone have any ideas? help much appreciated :D

A bit more info please?

Router Brand
Wireless card type (internal/external)
WEP Key enabled?
Etc.

All I can say without information, is try running on a different channel. Something way off like 11 or 2 etc.
On some routers you can set DHCP release times so low they boot you after a few minutes, check and make sure that isn't an issue.
Try disabling DHCP and make the computers use static addresses.
Make sure your PC's do not have some kind of software firewall enabled, if so, set up an address range that allows the other PCs to pass.

thx for post

its a btvoyager2100-2c base station, not ad hoc network

the wireless adapter card im not too sure about, all that i know is it fits into the pci slot

wep key disabled

channel 3 i think, says it on other pcs but not this one

i have service pack 2, but firewall turned off and set to allow wireless and file sharing

Not entierly sure, but Ive heard about SP2s wireless thingy causing some problems for WLANs :p

And make sure theyre all on the same channel (duh).
