Wireless network advice

[GPRT]

At the moment I am in the process of upgrading all of the computers in my house and am looking at wireless networks.
Is this all I need to get started:

Modem/Router

PCI adapter

I will connect the other computers and macs using ethernet and airport extreme cards so this is not a problem, but is the above equipment what i need to connect the one PC too far away for ethernet etc..
