Wondering...

Soooo.... why exactly has my ability to edit my posts been disabled? Kind of annoying if you ask me.

It automatically happens after a certain period of time.

Can MODS still edit it after that time has passed?

Yes, they can do anything.

And they're all wonderful people.

The edit time limit is 24 hours, which is an improvement on the 10 minutes it used to be.

And just in case you were wondering why, Chrismgratton, the time limit is there because otherwise it would be too easy for people to go back and edit their posts, making arguments devoid of sense, erasing incriminatin evidence or making it look like other people attacked first where they were actually provoked.

EDIT: The post above is proof that editing is despicable.

Like what Winston does in 1984?

keep in mind, if a post is reported, we see the version that was reported, and if you edit it after that, we'll be able to see every change.
