Wood breaking

first of all i have to say i am having soo much fun with css its awesom.
now to my topic , well u remeber the e32003 video? in the begning where he shoots the wood and and breaks soo realisticlly! that was amazing but the wood doesnt break like that in css , anyone else notice this?
 
It's pretty close IMO, except for the barrel gibbs.

Remember, cs:s physics are toned down due to mp.

i think hl2 will be better with tjis as guy above me said.
 
I believe HL2 will have dynamic breakpoints, where CS:s doesn't. I am unsure why CS:s doesn't, maybe bandwith... but thats what I think.
 
No, hl2 doesnt have dynamic breakpoints. However, it does have more breakpoints than cs:s. Theres that little amount of breakpoints for performance reasons in cs:s.

I learned all this in MY thread about breakpoints.
 
hl2 does have dynamic break points :p, its in the leaked
 
estevan, no, it doesnt. thanks though. its been stated by valve (or hl2.net staff) that there arent dynamic breakpoints.
 
I think the breakpoints in CSS are great, can't wait to see what they will be like in HL2.
