I always wanted to go snowboarding when I lived in Alaska, but I didn't own a snowboard and I had a terrible sense of balance on the snow in skiis let alone a snowboard.

I've gone snowboarding four or five times in the past. I'm not amazing, but I've gone enough to be pretty competent. Virginia's got quite a few good spots if you're not looking for anything special.

Also, I got my replacement learners permit and I look like I have ****ing down syndrome.

I was pretty pissed with about having to go pick up a ****ing new one, and we had to jump through so many ****ing hoops, by the time I was done I only had a half-hearted no teeth smile in me.

Had a great ****ing time.

First off, every time preceding this when snowboarding I've just done huge zig zags across the slope switching my leading foot over and over (yeah, I knew it was bad form, but I'd never had enough time to correct it) and I'd always be tired of it by about two hours in from bitch ass pain in my feet. I spent the entire time initially just making the switch to leading only with my right foot and carving rather than switching. I got the hang of it really easy, and after about an hour I had not trouble with it at all. I went far faster on average, fell far less, and my legs did not hurt at all.

Secondly, the weather was ****ing perfect. It was like 50 degrees, nice and cool with some nice breezes. Felt great. There was a little fog, but that just made me feel bad ass somehow.

I also ate so much food I can't comprehend why my bowels are still intact.
