Workers strike at Ssangyong motors

Do you have 24/7 news channels in S.Korea? Because even we get both sides of the story after awhile when the news stations need to fill up every hour every day.

Of course, I can't watch them, since I haven't been near a TV in a month or two.

So, I guess it's my fault that I've no idea what the strike is about. I managed to gather that it's about the layoffs and lessened pay.

These will prolly be the last photos; the strikers have agreed to talk.

Police rappel down to last labor union stronghold:

And hand out generous amounts of lawful justice:

First Usage of multi-shot flexible baton launchers; the strike has been a testing ground for new police equipment.

Some remain strong:

But it's likely over for now.

The first time I have seen slingshots used in any form of descent

The KCTU is prolly the most biased source of information you could come up with (after Hanchongryun).

Both sides (management and strikers) used slingshots.

EDIT: After reading through that site, it seems to be barely within the limits of the law (no incitement of class warfare?), and jesus chrisht Solidarity? wtf? That place angers me to no end.

KCTU said:
Stop suppressing democracy and basic labor rights right now

Yeah, and you stop throwing molotovs at people and we'll call it even.

so you say they're "prolly the most biased source of information you could come up with" and then say that the site is correct. regardless of how you feel about them, that's all I wanted to know

I can see why there's such a one dimensional polarization of politics in your country. it's the ole "you're either with us or against us" mentality. also your last sentence makes no sense. they demand your country suppressing democracy and you demand they stop throwing molotov cocktails. except they dont ALL throw molotov cocktails but the government as a whole suppresses democracy, so your demand is not a fair one.

The last refuge in an age where the enemy becomes insidious, and within.

But the goverment doesn't suppress democracy. :rolling:
