Last night, I decided that I needed to fix my car, since I was leaving HUGE oil leaks. I knew the part that was the culprit *The Metering Oil Pump...it combines some gas and oil and puts that into the rotor housing to lubricate the rotor/apex seals...rotary woo!*. Anyway, I get the rear break pads all switched out, and everything was great there. So I propped up the front, and we got that part pulled...and go figure, the new part I rebuilt myself wasn't working correctly! *A bar from the throttle cable to the MOP pulls a lever on it which tells it how much gas/oil to inject..*
Well, that piece wasn't closing completely, so it would be injecting oil/gas into the housing at all times, which wouldn't be good...so I had to take that one apart, and the old one, and swap alot of parts out, and in the end, it started working! So we got the part installed *4 hours after the brakes, mind you* and we were going to test out the car to see if it's still leaking. So I drop the car out of the jack, and...lo and behold, we forgot to put tire stoppers/ebrake back on. Car starts rolling down the driveway. Me and 2 other fellows leap to the front and start trying to pull on it to stop the rolling beast. I get the front lip, they get the sides. well, I fall, and the car is essentially pulling me down. My ass is sliding, and my legs are way under the car. One other guy runs for the car and pulls the ebrake 1/2 way down the driveway.
Just imagine 4 guys standing in disbelief at first of a car rolling down the drive way then bolting for the car...pulling on it needlessly *Like 3 guys can stop a 3k lbs car from rolling down a hill * Ohh I just wish we had that on video.
