World in Conflict a game that should be played

Just wanted to resurrect this discussion, I just finnally beat it on hard... havnt had much time to play but this game is incredibly fun, if you havnt gave it a chance I suggest you do. Its set in the cold war era 1989 when soviet forces try to take over europe & then they invade seattle, washington I live pretty close so it was pretty personal experience even though its hard to get really immersed into a strategy game.

I had fun with the MP demo, although the game tended to crash on me quite a bit.

I'll wait to buy it once I've got my new hard drive.

Game crashes for me now and again, and i also had a stage where loading a mission (4th in this case) would get about half way then cut back to the main menu, and a PC restart sorted it out *shrug*.

But ignoring that, its just...so much fun to blow stuff up with such amazing effects. Its very Ground Control in the lack of resources and the way you control your units, but napalm, daisy cutters (wow) and the nukes (/drool) are just so epic.

The smoke effects are some of the best ive ever seen in a game.

Its very addictive. You know you want it...

Beat the single-player on hard in about a week, didn't find it all that fun really...

I played the beta and I am considering gettin the full version of it eventually.

I disliked that the USA and USSR was so exremly similar, all differences where pretty much superficial only.
Other then that the beta was great fun.

Funny, I was going to revive a thread I created a long time ago. Glad to see that people have enthusiasm for this game. All in all, it is the best RTS I've ever played. The story is original and second to none, and the multiplayer is scrum-diddly-omptous.

Will get it pretty soon since my CoH doesn't work anymore, the latest patch ****ed it up.

I keep getting random crashes. 3 times now I've been unable to complete a mission before it crashes.. Going to wait for a patch or new drivers before playing again.
