Just curious what you guys REALLY think of us.

And please dont be a dick about it; Just state your opinion and move on.

Oh, and please post what country you live in when you do post.
 
The people: Just another nation of people, some are a bit insular in thinking, but most are decent and nice people.

The current government: Not a fan of their foreign policy. Should concentrate on looking after their people at home, like in New Orleans.



My country = UK
 
Politically; You try to solve the rest of the world's 'problems', but then struggle to solve and contain your own.

Culture and people; Diverse as ever, still come across and normal, friendly people... other distinctive traits feature high patriotism, and slight arrogance when abroad :p

Us blighties still love you though :D

I have holidayed in the US and loved it, the people were friendly and courteous.I have no problem with the American people whatsoever.

As for your President, you have my sympathy.

I think that the general opinion of Swedes is this: A country of many injustices and much arrogance, but nevertheless a democratic country where people can speak their opinion.

Last night our prime minister used the US as an example of how a country should not be run. I think that we consider it too capitalist.

I have, however, travelled a lot in the US, and it looks to me as your biggest problem is the gap between rich and poor, and the criminality.
 
my grandad went over there and said the people were really nice. they make good entertainment and im friendly with alot of americans myself.
 
People: same as any other international demographic apart from the patriotism; something I really don't get on with

Government: their foreign policy, isolationism in all areas but 'spreading democracy' and arrogance really **** me off.
 
people - like every country it has its ****s, but generaly nice people, maybe a bit to ignorant of the rest of the world

government - awful foreign policy
 
The US is like Battlefield 2, great potential, but ruined by total smacktards.

overly religiously influenced
aggressive military complex but not imperialistic
very conservative and occasionaly dangerously nationalistic
racism
poverty and lack of social conscience
crime
gun ownership

other than that a great example of a country - possibly the best ever major power, restrained, democratic, free, diverse, industrious
i have great respect for america and americans, however, i will always prefer european social democratic capitalism to US style governance
 
Personally , Im just anti-Washington.
As far as world opinion goes , it seems as if the US is the new (aparteid-era) south africa.

My opinions? I like the people, although many can be arrogant, but I'm rather reserved on their government.

I love allot of what the USA has achieved, and frankly allot of what im using right now is probably thanks to US science and market forces and importantly the US people. I wanna go there and check out the culture asap, but on a foreign policy level you've got an incompotent twit as leader ... who regularly infuriates me ... meh ... and by the looks of the 6 o'clock news lately, americans are begining to see the impotence of George W Bush.

As far as I'm concerned, I love America and I'm fiercly patriotic about it, but some of our citizens are stupid and our government is annoying.

I also love that our country was founded on revolution... the weakest nation in the world defeating the most powerful nation against all odds. It makes me proud.

Meh...I'm not really patriotic. Countries/goverments rise and fall...it's nothing new.
 
I generally get pissed off a lot because our country's government has strayed so far from its original intended path.
 
I think most americans are good people, with good ideas.
some are abit arrogant but then they tend to say what they want and think outloud, more than people here (which is a good thing)

i dont like your ultra religious nutters, they are alittle bit insane , that said i dont religious nuts the world over.

I dont think your government is too bad, it doesnt do bad things on purpose, it just makes mistakes like putting rockets launchers in hands of taliban in 1980's

other mistake and alittlebit of incompetance at times like in aftermath of hurricane u just had, (u needed your national guard there sooner)
President Bush is not a bad man , he just doesnt know what hes on about sometimes, sometimes its funny to watch others not.

It makes me happy that a lot of people recognize that one man doesn't represent America. He may have been voted to do so, but as you people can see, we're not approving of his actions. :)

Again...it's nothing new. The greeks started with a democratic government...they ended up going through many kings and goverments. Sorry to be a doomsayer, but so will this country/goverment. That's just how it goes.

That's exactly what it is. I've Been there on Holidays and it's a great country. The people are awesome and friendly. I've had no problem with the Country when I visited.

I live in Canada and Canadians seem to disagree on the foreign policy that America has....and that's it. No other problems. I just hate the stereotypes about America and other Countries around the world.
 
For the most part its fine.

Though the government is horrible, and so are the people who are way too Patriotic, and have to defend every single one of bushes action and think everything the USA does is right. Also the crazy rednecks, and their die hard obsession with owning guns.
