School was over, Im riding my bike home when a girl passes me riding her bike. She says "Hi" to me I say "Hi" she keeps riding, the binder she was careing slowly starts sliping out of her hands at the moment she desides to hold onto it with both hands. She starts loseing her balance and hits the side walk, flies of the bike skids her chin and slams her head against the wall!!

That realy ruined my day, but it was probably wors for her, this was happening today, anyways lets get back to the story......

It all happend right in front of me I was VERY SHOCKED. I didnt know if I should stop or go, if I stop I might be horrified with the results, If I go I wouldnt know what happend to her and I would be worried the hole day. So I stoped, I thought it was the right thing to do.
As I looked over for a brief moment I didnt see her moveing as her head was against the wall in a uncomfortable position. But then she moved, I was relived, I didnt want anyone dieing in front of me today. A car stopped by to help her with a aid kit, before I knew it there was a crowd of people around her. I knew everything was ok since she wasnt crying ;( . She had a cut on her leg, a pretty bad cut under her chin, and scraped skin of her fourhead wich resulted in blood, and she was probably brused. She was taken to the hospital by her friends mom, because her parents were not at home. I think she is gonna be ok, but if u saw what I saw you would be VERY suprised that she is still alive, it looked like she snapped her neck, but luckaly there were only minor injuries, at least thats what I think, I dont know if there was any memory loss or stuff like that. I'll ask her parents, the day after tomorow to see how she is doing, I go to Europe Saturday midnight so I will probably have info by then. Must be the worst last day of school ever. So, what do you guys think about this?

I take it she wasn't wearing a helmet

This is the exact reason why you should ALWAYS wear a helmet.

I mean, whether she was or wasn't, it's always bad when you get into any sort of accident.. but, seriously, kids these days think it's "uncool" to wear helmets.

man... and i thought i was having a bad day cause i cut myself w/ my butterfly knife...

I hate when stuff like that happens.

Nope, she was not wearing a helmet, next year when I see her riding a bike it will probably be with a helmet and pads, wich is a little silly, but her parants will probably force her to. Im amagening that crash with pads and a helmet and I can see no cuts and no injuries exept a headak.

(I spelled headake wrong sorry)

Arm/kneepads is a little bit extreme for a bicycle IMO, but.. yeah. Anyhow, a helmet once saved me from being seriously injured, and might have saved my brother's life once

They're good things to have on :)

That's not the only thing you spelt wrong.;)

Damn.. That really is a horrifying experience.

But yeah, I hope she's okay, Link :) Not trying to sound harsh about the helmet thing

I understand, I know she is ok, I mean she wasnt crying (maybe she was crying a little) I know she will heal and I know there is no permanant damage, to the brain as well because the person in the car that pulled over told her she was gonna call her mom, then she replied that her mom wasnt home instantly. So I think her brain is working just fine.

I agree it is uncool to wear helmets but they might save your life some day, take me for example, I ride my bike with no protection, flat tires, both pedals busted, and no hands on the bike, LoL I am very safe.

Heh...I one of my friends is here today because his mum forced him to wear a helmet when he was younger.

It all began when me, my brothers and a friend were riding our bikes back and forth down south somewhere while our parents were at some meating. There was a women in the meating who almost started crying because she saw us riding. Me and my brothers were wearing helmets because my mum told us to, but my friend wasnt. Anyway, this woman was crying because a couple of years previous, she had lost both her children when they were out riding because some guy ran into them. Niether were wearing helmets and one of them only had a serious injury to the head, the other had other broken bones. Sadly they both died....

Anyway, this woman spoke to my mum about it saying she was pleased that we were wearing helmets. This got to my friends mum who made my friend wear a helmet. That was a very good move as not so long after, he was hit by a car near where he lives and his head went right into the windscreen. He was ok though, just a couple of pieces of glass in his hands, and some bruises.

(That story may be hard to follow because of how it is written but im sure the idea gets across)

Ill probably be more safe after hearing that story, but I guess after jumping of a balcony and landing on your head when I was younger makes me think that I can survive many accidents.

And I was riding my bike down a hill at fast speeds, then I used my front brake to stop, and I flew through the air, only to land on my chin afterword, and scrape it against the concrete. Wich created a HUGE open wound/cut.

I hope she didn't brain her damage.

But seriously....concussion city?

Surprised she didn't get one.

Im suprised at the way everything turned out, It looked much wurs then it actually was. She will probably have a huge bruise on her head.

One minute shes saying "Hi" to me the next she almost dies, I mean thats pretty scary.

Wow, that's f'kin intense :| (wasn't hard to follow at all)

Same for Link's ordeal, must have been scary. Good to hear she's doing okay.

Haha, sorry but that made me laugh alot. I had heaps of accidents like this when I was a kid and I can look back and laugh so I hope you understand I'm not being awful :D

I did the same thing when I was younger, went hurtling down a hill and hit a jump (it was on a BMX course), flew off my bike midair and skid across some gravel. No serious injuries, just gashes and cuts all over >.<

You should try to talk to her, be her friend. She might start to like you. It's surprising how much an accident can bring people closer together, especially if you were the first person to help her. The more friends in life, the better. ;)

She said she used to like me (who wouldnt), she probably still does but she is afraid to admit it.

"Hey, you almost died, wanna ****?"

I had to fill up my gas tank today, so it was a bad day. :(
gas is pricey

It's up to almost a dollar(Or I think it already is a dollar)per litre here in Canada.
This is why my parents resent driving me places to much.

What the hell? I didn't mean that dude. I mean like, she might like him more because he helped her out, that's all. :|

:O See at the end where I wrote, "The more friends in life, the better." ?

I'm 15 years old anyway. I'm too young for that, and I did not intend for it to sound that way. No big deal i guess. :cheese:

I always wore my helmet when I was little and it really came in usefull the day some cholo **** ass knocked me off my bike and stole it.

You know, that story the original poster seemed like it was going to be one of those teen comedy movies where the guy meets the girl, and then suddenly the girl careers headfirst into a wall. I know it's not funny IRL, but damn it would be pretty funny on film. :)
