its called a cheesy action character dude,, like Arnie in Cammando, and cheesy action movie characters rock. and how can he be teh worst , when he'Z so hardcor£ he can B££tz up a Lo@d of Marine'z N Monsta'z! :P

that dude from Altered Destiny was the worst, lol . remember that.. that was a kool game ,, but the dude was in his bloody PJ's for the whole game! how hardcore can you get.

Gordon was such a dweeb in the first game. When i look at the CD cover and i see that Gordon i wanna smack him. But now, he looks cool.
Anyway i dont see how you can hate him. No one even KNOWS what Gordon's like because you're supposed to be gordon.

Anyway I hated that guy from Contract J.A.C.K he was even worse then Jack Carver

when i say that i mean that gordon as a character, not gordon as yourself. I know hes supposed to be you, but if we look at it from that perspective then gordon isnt really a character- just a body that you play through. im talking about gordon freeman, the character, NOT you.

We know lots of things about Gordon:
-He's smart
-He's good at his job, but also consistently late
-He's trained in the use of various firearms

Okay, so that's really it.
The HEV, on the other hand, is a great character, spouting with memorable quotes like:

The HEV is the real hero. at the end of HL2, Gordon takes off his HEV suit and everyone pushes him out the way (making him fall to his doom :laugh: ) and they all hug the HEV. it then says:
"Chocolate ice cream for everyone"
and spurts out brown goo. long live the HEV!!!
 
Yeah but the whole point is, most games assume they are being played by utter nerds and so cast you as a hugely-muscled action hero (idle fantasy) or a really fit woman (guess why). Whereas in Half-Life, you were a nerd sitting at your computer, playing a nerd. With NHS specs. And a beard. And an embarrassing orange suit. People who bash HL because you never talk just couldn't be bothere to actually TALK. Play HL while saying things like "Oh shit.." and "Come withn me i you want to live, Einstein," aloud and it's a much better game. ;)

Anyway, Gordon only has an implied character. He's nerdy, austere, intelligent, sombre but not afraid to get his hands dirty. At least that's how I see him. Depending on how you play the game he could be a juvinile, crazy, murdering dipshit.

Bad game characters? Yes, Jack Carver is a bit of a twat. But then he's just a complete ripoff Steven Seagall, who is also a twat. Raiden is terrible. I know the point is that you're meant to be in awe of the great Solid Snake and feel proud of yourself when he says thigns like "good work, kid" but Raiden is such an idiot it kind of distracts you. Plus, he has no genitalia.
 
i thing MGS2 was all thought up by raiden. i bet it was all in his imagination, and all of it never happened, it was all some kid with no cock lying in his bed after playing MGS, and he thought up the whole CRAZY plot. he EVEN thought up first person mode.

the REAL story behind MGS is that snake saves meryl and goes off to live with her in alaska adn then <insert happy ending which is then interrrupted by an evil genius and snake has to go save the day here.>

But Jack Carver's loyalty was brought into question so many times!!! And he never failed to answer the call of duty!!!! - What a hero he was!

Doyle (Far Cry)

Do I have to say anymore? This game looked beatiful, but this guy was sooooo shit! I mean you meet him like once and your like "Ahh now ill know whats going on!" but then he just takes you in his speedboat to another part of the island on those crappy cutscenes. SHOCKING SHOCKING GAME!
