I have an almost two year old 2.0ghz 2400+xp cpu, and I'm thinking of upgrading my vid card to an x800pro or XT. I currently have a radeon 9700pro. I'm wondering if since these new cards are so fast if my CPU is going to hold it back so to speak. I've also been planning on upgrading my mobo and cpu to an ASUS SK8V and 64FX-53 but that may be further down the road.
Yeah it will. I have an X800pro and an AMD XP 2.6+ (overclocked though, so it makes it a 3.2+ [2200mhz]) and i have bad bottleneck with the cpu until i can afford a new one.
