well i was looking at a refurbished 360, not just for the orange box, played HL 1 on ps2 and liked it, so i thought why not?

I mean if you have nothing else to spend your money on then sure. Although I'm biased on this because I hate consoles with a passion and valve stuff is meant to be played on a pc, I honestly can't say that it's a good idea.

The console ports of the Orange Box were not great. If you have enough cash I'd recommend just buying a good PC. If you really want to play with a controller you can always just buy a logitech gamepad and plug it into your PC.

If you're getting a console version though get the Xbox360 one, by all accounts the PS3 port was the worst of the lot.

I have a nice PC already... and i was going to get a 360 anyway ive been told that that version was quite impressive, i also like the Half Life 1 ps2 version so id give it a try.

If you have a nice PC then honestly there isn't a point in buying a 360 for the Orange Box.

The PC version is more impressive. If you really have a nice PC, go with a PS3 if you really want to buy a console. Most of the games on the 360 are playable on the PC except like, the newer Halos.

You probably heard so because the 360 version of HL2 and episode 1 used to have superior graphics to the PC version(running on a newer version of Source), but the PC version of HL2 has been updated to have similar graphics in 2010. Considering all the advantages of the PC version(high resolutions, keyboard/mouse controls, all the great mods etc) you'd be crazy to prefer a console version now.

**** the console versions of all Valve games, played them all minus Portal 2 and all of them so do not reflect the true quality of Valve games.

PC all the way!
