Would drivers from the ATI site work with my hercules 3dprophet 9800pro?

Or do I have to get drivers made by hercules? I'm asking this cause the downloads on www.hercules.com never work so I'm stuck with 3.2 drivers for now.

No, you can use the drivers from ATi. They're generic Radeon drivers, the ATi Catalyst suite can be used right across the Radeon range.

You'll find most gamers with a Radeon card are using the Catalyst set from the ATi website.

Like rec said, you can get either.

If you want the most updated, and probably the highest performing, get the ones from ati.com.

If you like some tools that came with the cards drivers, then you're stuck with the old ones from Hercules. As far I know, you cannot have both of bascially the same driver (or at least for the same purpose) installed at the same time, if the tools that you like require the Hercules version of the Catalyst drivers.

yeh i got a hercules 9800 pro and i use the new ati catalysts 3.8 and they work fine

You used the wrong drivers!!!!!!! I'll tell you what, since the card is now broken I will take it off your hands for $10 .
