If you didn't have arms, would you still want to live or what?

heh, I know exactly what most immature 13 year olds would post.
"WTF!! NO WAY CUS THEN HOW DA HELL WOLD I WANK!11!"

Anyway yes it would be worth living since arms are not needed to be succesful in life, they certainly help but they are not required. Besides, at the rate technology is going it probably won't be long before you will be able to get artificial arms that will be basically just as usefull as having real arms.

yes, I'd learn how to do stuff with my feet, like picking my nose. Plus I'd get cool looking prosthetic arms that I can beat people with

i'd love to get a pair of robotic arms so i could scare little kids.

or walk up to people and say that i am a terminator sent back in time, and tomorrow is judgement day.

I'd cry for weeks. and then maybe start working my way up as the worlds most famous freak.

No, you'd have little stump things that would wiggle when your brain told your arms to move. And unless you call little stump things wings then no, lack of arms != wings.

NO NO NO

No arms = wings on my back. Like Harvy Birdman. :)

Of course. Losing my sight or hearing would be the most devasting to me. I learn so much through those two senses. To no longer have a chance to hear new music or be able to see anything new, colors, sights. That would be the toughtest--all surviveable, but definitely the worst.

hell no. all you people are daft, If I had no arms I'd kill myself. It would be unbearable, I couldn't use a computer, I couldn't use anything, I couldn't even hug someone or shake someones hand. I'd toss myself off a bridge or something(can't exactly slit my wrists, now, can I?)

I have a friend whose blind, and is starting to need a hearing aid. I couldn't begin to imagine how it would feel to be both blind and deaf. I certainly would be afraid to go anywhere. How would you communicate without hearing & talking?

Loosing your arms wouldnt be too bad though. A definite ice-breaker at parties :)

have you people really not thought about it at all? consider the number of times you use your arms everyday, and for what.

you couldn't even go to the bathroom, dress yourself, or OPEN DOORS without someone constantly around to help you.

not to mention at said party you couldn't even get a drink.

It depends on how rich I would be at the time. Robotic cyborg arms would be awesome.

I WOULDNT B able to woonk!!!

lolololzozlozlzozlzol ill use m feet!!!

I have seen people like that on TV they are born blind and deaf but somehow they end up managing to communicate. They learn to hear by putting their hand in a certain position on the face of the person they want to hear and when the person talks they feel the muscles moving and determine what is being said. Then they learn how to talk by mimicking those muscle movements with themselves. Very ingenious if you ask me.

Don't ask me how they actually get started learning though, that of course would be the hardest part.

I think I'd probably jump off of somewhere high...

I'd rather lose my legs than my arms, at least if I lose my legs I can turn into a complete couch/computer chair potatoe....

If you had no arms...you COULD go outside (well...wheelchair, I know..but still), but what's there to do? Can't play golf, or..drive anywhere...

What would you do without arms? How would you read a book? Use a PC? Change TV channels? Play tennis? Shake hands?!

I guess I could live without arms... I suppose. Would be rather annoying though

I'd have to type with my nose :(

i'd prefer to be dead unless there was robot arms i could use. Imagine in the morning, you just woke up, and you need to call for someone to get you out of bed, they come over take off the sheets and stand you up. Your morning wood stands proud, and you can't hide it, then they have to wash you, dress you, then do lots of things and appologise a million times because you cant do them. death plz ;)

I would get someone to attach baseball bats as my arms, then I would probly smash some ppl just for fun and probly steal a automatic car and drive myself in to a building, or off a cliff (yeah its possible to drive a car with baseball bats =P ).

My first reaction is no, but when I think about it of course it would be worth living. I wouldn't want to die simply because of a handicap like that. Prostetic arms have come a long way I suppose...if you were desperate you could have someone elses arms sewn on...but thats just weird, and people who have that will often feel really bad about it and get rid of them. Its not like haveing a heart transplant.

Anyway, most of the things I really enjoy would be impossible or very difficult without arms, and so I will make sure that I never lose my arms :)

I think this is assuming you can't get prosthetic arms, nor foreheads.
