Would you be pissed off if there is no final boss in HL2?

If I wanted to strafe around in a big circle emptying rockets and grenades into a muscular cabbage wearing a loincloth I'd have stayed in the 90's.
exactly,
it should be something new imo

They're making a lot of add-ons for HL2 and they're working on HL3 already so no

No i'm not bothered. Aslong as they make the climax of the game memorable and entertaining, i'm not too fussed.

A suitably epic Final Level (Freedom Fighters does this well) would be better.

Well said.

And no, I wouldn't be pissed off if it weren't a final boss in Half-Life 2.

I guess The 7th Guest was before your time, then. :rolling:

man, that was the first pc game I owned. In fact I still have it :E

I don't care about final bosses, as long as the ending is climatic.

A game can have a great climatic ending without having a final boss. Take a look at Halo. For a game that didn't have an ending boss, it was incrediably fun and tense.

i have a feeling Breen will commit suicide, after relising he has been wrong all along about how to handle the alien invasion...and see's how much he has made the human race suffer and how he has singlehandidly engineered its downsfall...

No matter what the ending is, if you can figure it out without the game hinting too much you're either really smart, you saw a spoiler, or (the worst) it was too obvious. Didn't happen with Nihilanth. HL1 was full of surprises and the one thing you thought about while playing the game: "I want to get the hell out of this place!". Of course I mean it in a positive sense that it had such an impact on the player that he REALLY felt like Gordon Freeman.

i really dont give a shit boss or no boss hl2 will be insane

Bosses arnt important, but they need to be implemented correctly, and wind off the story. Like Nihalinth did

... im not saying anything ...
