I said yes. If you truly love someone you should be able to pull through difficulties like this. Many people have been in love their whole lives without needing sex.

At least being able to display intimacy by for example: Kissing or hand holding, is also something. If you're really incredibly horny I think it should be fair for couples in such a state to masturbate.

I refuse to believe that everyone only loves because they want to get laid. (Being the romantic that I am.) If you find someone who deeply understands you in a way that no one else does, I wouldn't mind being with them for the rest of my life, sex or no sex.

I'm not even going to bother reading previous posts, because I'm quite sure It's just going to drag my morale down and or disgust me. :X So... Yah.
 
Why do people fail to understand one valid point?

We are on this planet to ****. Plain and simple. If we didn't ****, we'd be extinct.

"Love" doesn't even exist. It's just a mental thought that we created to justify wanting to **** one person. If you want to **** multiple people, like every man should...gotta spread the seed and all, then you 'love' them all.
 
Frankly the idea of couples not having sex these days in none existent, unless there is something wrong with you, you really like each other or love each other, find each other attractive, and you are human beings that need releases such as sex, so all points say go. Unless you have a problem, why wouldn't you have sex?

Hey, beliefs will be beliefs. Some people don't think Buddha or God, Jesus, Shiva etc. don't exist either.
Belief is part of what makes us human. And I believe in love, no matter how baloney people think the whole idea is.
 
Believe love, but procreation is hard coded in your life. Frankly, anybody who says they haven't ever had sex are liars...unless they have some form of deformity.

This is, of course, aimed at the people who are well past the age to have sex *30's*

Some people have weird willpower to try and stop from sex because they believe they don't need it..but in the end, they succumb to the penis/vagina.
 
I never said I don't believe that it's coded into all people. I still believe in love thou lol.

If you wanna be really logical and cold about it, Love is just the emotional and physical manifestation of the human instinct to pair off and mate, which all comes down to sex anyway, so a relationship without sex while we are still virile young men (and women) is going to be rough.




Believe in love, believe that that unique spark that grants humanity sapience also grants our affections a unique spark of its own, but don't try and belittle the natural human need for sexual intimacy, that's how marriage counselling starts.

Having been in a couple long-distance relationships when I was younger (yeah I was pretty hopeless), I'd say no, at least not before you've matured beyond that point. I think it has to do with age and what you come to value most in a relationship. When you're young it's going to be more about sexual intimacy and "puppy love," but once you get past that stuff and learn what you want in a partner beyond that, your values shift to other things. Probably not by much, but I think I could probably handle a (mostly) sexless relationship once I'd had my fill of throw-away partners. Whether or not it would last is another question...
